Jeanick Fournier returns to her resignation as beneficiary assistant

Contest Grand Winner canada’s got talent last spring, Jeanick Fournier saw her life change in the
quarter turn since this resounding victory. The life of the singer, who has gone from shadow to light, is more glamorous than ever, and it is with happiness that she abandons herself to this joyous whirlwind. Precisely at the headquarters of Frank Lyman’s clothing we had given an appointment to the one who has just presented us with a record that bears her name.

Jeanick, what do you offer with the album you just presented us?
There are 11 songs: 9 covers and 2 original songs, Moment Y it will be OK. The first excerpt I give upIt’s the song that made me get the Golden Buzzer on canada’s got talent. My two original songs, of which I am proud, represent my personality well, the woman I am, that is, the one who gives and listens to others. The piece Moment, among other things, recounts my career as a singer. I worked hard and climbed big mountains to achieve this beautiful result in my career. As for the covers, people tell me that they live beautiful memories listening to these songs that they liked. It brings beautiful emotions and a lot of happiness to the people who listen to them.

We did this photo shoot at Frank Lyman’s headquarters. Do you fall in love with his clothes?
I have been going to Boutique Bian’K, owned by Ms. Dominique, in Chicoutimi for a year. He sells Frank Lyman’s clothes. Since I have many events scheduled, I don’t always want to wear the same dresses. I like beautiful, large, elegant evening dresses cut in comfortable fabrics. Despite my crazy schedule, we made arrangements to go to Frank Lyman’s headquarters in Montreal for this shooting. We met Mr. Lyman and his team who offered me a range of dresses, everything you need to make a woman dream!

What did you remember among all these clothes?
Palazzo pants that are elegant and never go out of style. I wear it with a top that leaves my arms bare. The fabric is very light and gives volume. I fell in love with a little cream colored three quarter hooded jacket. She says: “Perseverance, Love, Joy, Confidence”. It is very beautiful. I also chose a black leather jacket and pants with a sweater. In this clothing line, I love jeans. They are extraordinary because they are as comfortable as if you were in pajamas. They are of exceptional beauty and quality.

Since experiencing this great professional whirlwind, have you changed your wardrobe?
A little, because financially I can no longer afford to buy clothes. I have always loved stage dresses. At the Montreal Grand Prix, at the Gémeaux Awards Gala and at the events I was invited to, I wore Frank Lyman clothes that my boutique had lent me. I prefer not to buy everything, because I get invited to many sets.

Do you like the glamorous side of work?
Yes, because I like to wear pretty dresses… (laughs)

What you are going through right now is extraordinary. It’s pretty far removed from his life as a hospice worker…
It is true. I quit a month ago. It had to be done. When I went to hand in my letter of resignation, it was an extremely emotional moment. I shed a tear. However, I am still very involved in the organization. I’m sponsoring a brunch fundraiser. So far we have sold 450 tickets. Nevertheless! I keep helping, doing the best I can. Whenever I’m in the area, in Chicoutimi, I even plan to go there. I’m going to see my beautiful team.

How has this job changed your life?
My life has completely changed. I am a very busy mom. I go to work five days a week and come home two or three days.

So, are you torn between Montreal and Chicoutimi?
Yes, and it’s going well, because I have someone extraordinary at home who watches over the children. I see that they are well and fulfilled. Help my mother’s heart. Despite everything, sometimes I feel guilty for not being with my friends. In those moments, I cling to my lover and shed a tear or two. I live an overflow of emotions. At the same time, I know they are happy. They don’t lack anything. It is my mother’s heart that speaks louder than reason…

Isn’t it legitimate to have the need to fulfill yourself in another way than as a mother?
Much! What life allows me to achieve is so beautiful that I open my arms and go for it.

Do you like this new life?
Yes. My schedule is very tight, but I find it very pleasant. When I enter the hotel, I take the time to watch a movie, decompress, rest. Not being with the kids allows me to do that. It’s terrible, but I don’t have to give myself 100% to my friends, I don’t have to “push the machine”. I can let myself go: take a hot bath, a glass of wine and relax.

Is the pace dizzying at times?
Yes, but being 50 years old allows me to keep my feet on the ground. I live for today and I don’t think about later. If I look at what I have on the agenda in a few days, I get dizzy! I must stop I must not think about it; I enjoy every minute. At 20 I wouldn’t have been so calm…

What do you miss about your old life?
Cook! (laughs) Cooking at home is the only thing I miss… apart from my children, of course!

He has adopted two children with Down syndrome. Does this life bring you back to basics?
Yes. Every day he reminds me to keep my feet on the ground. The life is today…

How do you collect?
Since I have time for myself and hotels have training rooms, I have regained the taste for training. It’s good for my body, but especially for my head. Bring out the bad guy! I also like to watch a movie, listen to music, chat with my lover. We really had a good time together.

You turned 50 last spring. How was this stage?
My greatest gift was winning canada’s got talent and the $150,000 scholarship, for having had the opportunity to sing at the Luxor in Las Vegas for america’s got talent and have a contract with the Universal Music team. It allowed me to do all kinds of beautiful things and feel like I belonged.
